Alex's Bridesmaids

To the now young woman who has been there through high school thick and thin and whom I would want none other than to be my completely organized MOH, here's to Rachell. We have been best friends since our time as roommates in that small cinderblock dorm room on our 6th grade Dauphin Island trip. Although we live far away from each other we talk almost every day and FaceTime whenever necessary before making a big fashion statement. She is and will always remain my best friend.

Literally playing together since the diaper days, then on through the Barbie car days, onto the year of our grand idea of American Girl pen pals, then the boy crazed years of junior high, and now all-grown-up, Ellie and I have been closer than peanut butter and jelly, or maybe like grease and cheese (from Memaw's kitchen). Ellie has always been a been a positive light from afar. She is such an honest and innocent gem that has over the years been such a companion to me.

Brittany and I are not only cousins, but are also sisters. I grew up with only one brother and always dreamed of having a sister. In the fall of 2010 we gained the other title of sisters in Alpha Gamma Delta. Sitting through pref night Brittany was the only person I really wanted to talk to. She finally came and sat down in front on me and asked me if I enjoyed being a winner. I said of course and then she promptly explained that if I went anywhere else on the hill I would be less than a winner. Even though Brittany is 11 months younger than me she has also played the role of Mom and Dad when I needed them at 3 AM in the morning and couldn't call for some helpful advice. She is so intelligent and always seems to know what I really need to hear at the most unexpected times.

During my freshman year at ASCC, I'm not sure how I would have survived without Kayla. We were basically attached at the hip. God put this special friendship into such a pivotal part of my life and relationship with Him. Kayla was my accountability partner. How wonderful it was to watch both our relationships with the Lord blossom during this time in our lives. She is the kindest most beautiful person I know.

Never have I had so much fun post-high school apartment cheering, eating icing on graham crackers, and dancing to hip-hop and other assorted rap songs at 2AM in the morning than with Jen. She was my first real roommate in college and what a blast we had for those two years. She is the person that can make you feel good about just about anything and can always put a smile on your face. With Jen I laugh more than my cheeks can handle.

Jill and I have more life stories in common than the average friend duo. For basically 19 years we lived each others lives 45 minutes away from each other. Still to this day we wonder how our paths never crossed until IMPACT in the summer of 2010. Jill was my first Troy friend. The similarities are uncanny, and I know I can always talk to her about anything. Time after time we can pick up right where we left off. Jill is so down to earth, but possesses such a free spirit that makes her so unique and special to me.

My Little Squirrel. She will always and forever be that to me. Whenever I need an honest opinion she's my girl. We complement each other so well. She can keep one heck of a secret and look on the bright side when I just can't seem to. I cherish all the hilarious and sometimes not so hilarious memories made in the AGD palace. I look forward to watching her grow into her complete potential - and will forever believe we were completely gipped when "Best Big/Little Award" wasn't given to us.

After showing my father the hilarity of Sarah's sporatic and comical videos made while living in the AGD house in which he responded, "You're really going to miss her," I realized how great of a friend Sarah really is to me. To share a room with someone, we both figured would be a challenge, but the friendship made in the back right room - which was so chic, it should have been featured in an Anthropologie catalog - will last forever.

Anne Wilkinson

Sarah Smith

Anne is the most caring and considerate person I have ever met. I am so glad that she and Heath became close friends in high school, and that I now have had the opportunity to get to know her right here in Selma. She has accepted me with open arms into the Selma family. We have the best time watching the Bachelor on Monday nights and are embarking on a journey studying Galatians. Anne is my classic and timeless friend.

Carley Shelton

You know that person that you meet and think, wow she is so cool, I wish I could get to know her better? Well, that was Carley for me. We met at a Troy preview day even before we knew we would be sisters. On our pledge retreat to Orange Beach she was that girl that I wanted to be friends with. She was so funny with her dry sense of humor and her wit. She is the most practical and level headed person I know. She is the BEST at couponing and saving money. She is something else, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
